Karishma Should Zip It Up

The TV actress has ruffled feathers in the modelling industry with her uncharitable remark about Jesse Randhawa in a TV show


The film industry did not gang up against Karishma Tanna for calling Puneet Issar ‘andhaa’ in one of the earlier episodes of Bigg Boss 7. But the modelling industry is not forgiving her for her uncharitable comment on their senior, Jesse Randhawa.

Tannas comment in question, which was made with reference to inviting a celebrity on the show, which was telecast on December 9:  Jesse Randhawa itni famous nahi hai'. 

Buzz is, several members of the modelling fraternity have been calling up each other since Tuesday. And the calls have still not stopped.

A Bollywood fashion designer (name withheld on request) told SpotboyE.com. “Thats right. Several models, hairstylist and fashion designers of Bollywood have been calling up each other. We have even called up Jesse and discussed this with her.  Tanna has rubbed us, the wrong way. We look up to Jesse as an icon. What does Karishma think of herself? How can she talk about Jesse in such a cheap manner?”

When contacted, model Priyanka Shah said, Jesse is an inspiration. Anybody who doesnt even know fashion knows who is Jesse. I know for a fact that Tanna in her younger days wanted to be a model.  Is this how she should talk of someone who has been easily one of the topmost models of India? What right has she got to run down anybodys work for that matter? Tanna should zip it up.

Model Aanchal Kumar says, I wouldn't be surprised if Karishma took a dig at Jesse deliberately. And this smacks of nothing but her low ethics."

Fashion designer Rohit Verma, who was a participant in BIgg Boss 3, said, I am very hurt. I have Jesses picture in my bedroom. I am not a fool to put up picture of any loser in my bedroom.

Can Jesse be called a loser in any context, we asked senior model Aditi Govitrikar? No way.  Was Karishma feeling alright when she said what she said? Aditi shot back.

Said the source, The mood at Jesses house is very sullen."

We called Jesses husband Sandip Soparkar (choreopgrapher), who didnt sound his usual chirpy self. He said rather softly, Can you please leave us alone? All I want to say is he whole country knows who is Jesse.  We are appalled at Tannas remark. Tanna was my student, she learnt dancing from me.

Jesse had the last word. Tannas comment doesn't make me a loser. What she thinks about me doesn't matter. Does she know Tanna personally? Is there a history that the two share, we asked? I dont know Tanna. And I dont want to know her ever, Jesse retorted, before hanging up.
